Ponies (UK) Elite Riders Academy

  Set up in 2005 the Elite Riders Scheme objective is to encourage ‘showing riders’ to seek  instruction to improve their own performance and knowledge.  That’s where we first started and we have come along way since!

The Academy has admitted about 100 members of age 10 years and above.  They all attended training sessions taken by the very best instructors from the showing and competition world, arranged by P(UK) under the Elite Riders Scheme and then went forward for appraisal.  We have three riders who have obtained the highest grading ‘Gold Star Status’ and as such have been invited to apply to become P(UK) Ride Judges.  So far 4 valuable bursaries for training have been awarded to Elite Riders after the ‘final’ held during the Summer Championships, we want the awarding of bursaries to continue.

For all, the training they have received under the scheme will help them show and prepare their ponies and horses to the optimum.  Riders from the Academy will always be the first that the association calls on when participants are required for judge and membership training days.
